GOD’S FAITHFUlNESS

June 17th | Pastor Gino

Have you ever lost your keys? I bet you have. The funny thing about losing your keys is that they’re always in the last place you look. They never moved and were there the whole time.

We read in 2 Timothy 2:13 that, “If we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.” On a deeper and more profound level, have you ever felt spiritually lost or adrift and as though God was far away? I bet you have…

There are times and even seasons in our Christian walk where we feel lost or as if God has abandoned us. These may be brought on by circumstances beyond our control, personal struggles with sin, or any other number of distractions that cause us to feel far away from the Lord. But this truth remains: God is faithful. His faithfulness doesn’t depend on our perfection or performance but flows from His unchanging, unshakable, and ever-present nature and character.

One of His greatest promises is, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5; Hebrews 13:5). Even in our darkest moments—when our prayers feel unanswered or our hearts feel distant and cold—He is there. We may falter in our faith, but God remains faithful to His promises because He cannot deny His own character and nature. When life feels uncertain and God seems far off, don’t place your hope in your own strength or spiritual track record. Instead, look to the One who has won the victory on your behalf, who has pleased God through His meritorious work, and who has paid the price for your sin so that there is no longer any condemnation for those who believe.

So, if you feel lost, keep seeking, keep reaching, keep longing. Because when you finally find the Lord, you may just realize—He was there all along. He never moved and had been waiting for you the whole time.
